The Planning and Development program provides land use approvals, zoning information, commercial site plan approvals, code information, building permits and inspections, subsurface sewage disposal and the County's code compliance program are all part of this multi-faceted department. Services are provided for all areas outside of incorporated cities within Jackson County. Planning and Development is also responsible for solid waste complaints, collection of Jackson County's System Development Charge for Roads, manufactured dwelling installation permits and approvals for land development, subdivisions and mobile/RV parks.
